Our Governance & Structure
The Sussex Reptile Rescue Centre is governed by a Board of Trustees who have the ultimate control and responsibility for the governance and administration of the Charity. The Board meets six times a year to oversee the administration and management of the charity, set strategies and policies, and approve all major expenditures. Trustees serve for a minimum of three years, with the option to serve for an additional two terms.
Our Vision
A world where every reptile and amphibian is respected, understood, and guaranteed access to expert care and a safe future.
Our Goals
Since starting in 2024, we have helped rescue Reptiles and Amphibians across the county of Sussex and surrounding areas.
- A society where every reptile and amphibian are provided the care they need and are understood.
Although this isn’t an easy thing to achieve, as we’re always learning about these amazing creatures!
- To Enhance Animal Welfare & Veterinary Care
Veterinary care for any animal can be costly, and reptiles are no exception. Many require specialist diagnostics, heating, medication, and treatment that only exotic-trained vets can provide.
- To build a safe-haven where Children, young people and adults can come and learn, expand their knowledge about Reptiles, ask questions and discover.
We want to build a safe space where children, young people and adults can come and learn, expand their knowledge about Reptiles and amphibians, ask questions, and discover new things and how to care for these creatures, through volunteering with us at the centre, or at educational projects and workshops.
